| REVIEW >>> | So zurückhaltend wie auf ihrem zweiten Album Let it Die klang Feist nicht immer: Schließlich startete die Kanadierin ihre musikalische Karriere als Sängerin einer wenig erfolgreichen Punkband. Das ging nur so lange gut, bis ihr wortwörtlich die Stimme versagte und gezwungenermaßen sanftere Töne angeschlagen werden mussten. Statt lärmende Punk-Parolen ins Mikrofon zu schreien, macht Feist nun mit minimalistischen Folk-Pop auf sich aufmerksam, der hin und wieder auch elektronisch angereichert wird. Dabei wissen ihre eigenen Songs ebenso zu überzeugen wie die Coverversion des Bee Gees-Titels Inside and Out, der spätestens im Audience Honey Remix absolut "loungetauglich" gerät. Manchmal muss man eben leiser sprechen, um gehört zu werden. (ke)
